The food was alright, it didn’t compare to the other location of spicy moon we had last time. The vegan protein option were very oily were you could only taste the oil 50% of time. However, not everything was bad some options did taste better but not all. I gave service 2/5 because even tho the servers were nice and friendly they didn’t seem to fulfill what we wanted. We asked for a cup of ice for water which took 15-20 mins. Mind you we had a reservation before hand for a part of 5 so we wouldn’t face any siting issues, on top of that they made us sit in a table of 4 and wanted us to squeeze in that table. We asked to combine the table next to us so we could sit comfortably, to which we were told “the table is reserved but if no one comes up we can combine the table so give us like 10-15 mins to see if anyone comes in”. We waited for 20 mins no one came in so we asked again and they told us to wait another 15 mins to which we happily complied. They even gave us an option to rotate the table to make it longer but it wouldn’t have made a difference. Next 20 min passes by no one came to the table next to us and we just gave up. It’s not like we didn’t complain to wait but we complain

I wanted to give it 4.5, food was 5 on 5. We ordered spicy wonton and dan dan noodles. Spicy wontons were as good as they can get, chili oil had a good punch and the filling was damn awesome. Dan dan noodles were really great, tasted like salty and savory first but after 2-3 bites the taste started to fit in, it's like getting acquired to that taste on spot. We absolutely loved it. (If you have tasted din tai fung' sesame noodles, it was better and richer in quality than that) The only thing that disappointed me was they show table reservations(both on google and resy) till 12 in the night but when we went there by 11:40 pm they told us it's just take out now, which is a little misleading. I would definitely go back again but a little early this time 😅

One of my favorite spots in the West Village is this place. Their dan dan noodles and spicy wonton dumplings are our absolute favorites. For a delightful mix of crunchy, sweet, and spicy flavors, we always order the taro fries. Mapo tofu is also a great choice, and I can’t resist their mochi.

Im from Montreal and hadn’t been to Spicy Moon since my last visit to NYC in 2022. I remembered it being really good so my expectations were high. I’m pleased to say the food and service surpassed my expectations. I came twice on our 3 day trip. My wife and I were travelling with our 15 month old daughter and the staff was very accommodating. I believe our server was named « Kalil », he was very friendly, professional and recommended us the Kung Pao style tofu and DanDan noodles. Both we so good. Since being vegan for about 10 years this was possibly the best tofu dish I’ve had. I can’t wait to come back to Spicy Moon.

Spicy moon is a great place for some good vegan food! All the chicken dishes taste like actual real meat, and it doesn’t feel like you’re eating vegan meat. The vegan meat dishes I tried which were the kung pao style and the chicken and broccoli which were bursting with flavor and truly delicious. They had a good mix of the sauces in it. Their French fries were also really great and flavorful. Service was alright and our food came out fairly quickly. The prices are alright and moderate. It’s not too expensive nor was it really affordable, just in between. The decor of the place is also nice and fun, I liked the pink theme that they had going. I have to come back here to try their noodles. Price: $28.00💸 Rating: 8/10📝
